Professional experience

Ms. Oksana Senatorova is a docent (associate professor) of the international law department at t Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University (Kharkiv, Ukraine).  Since 2012, she has been a member of the academic board of the Institute for prosecutor’s office bodies at that university, supervising post-graduate students and doctoral candidates.

Since 2009 she has been teaching under the master’s program at the Hertfordshire University, the United Kingdom.

2006 - 2008: collaborated with the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on the adaptation of the Ukrainian legislation with acqui communautaire.

2004 - 2008: hired as an expert by the Kyiv regional delegation of the International Red Cross Committee.

2002 - 2003: junior research fellow, Crime Research Institute under the Legal Sciences Academy of Ukraine.

On numerous occasions, Ms. Oksana Senatorova has submitted expert opinions to the Supreme Court of Ukraine, Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine’s Parliament), and Justice Ministry of Ukraine; read lectures to judges of courts of various instances on international justice; participated in the development of a number of draft laws; and was invited as a judge to help in the conduct of international moot-court competitions.

She has been working as a court lawyer since 2008.

Ms. Oksana Senatorova is the author of a number of publications dedicated to various aspects of international criminal law, international humanitarian law, EU law, and human rights. She is also a co-author of a textbook on international law and the author of the following monographs: «Banking law in the EU and in Ukraine: comparative-law research», 2007; «Freedom of the movement of goods in the EU», 2008; and «Industrial standards in the EU», 2009.
