Oleksandr Gubin started his career in AGA Partners law firm just after he graduated from the university. He has been a practicing lawyer since 2011 and was admitted to the bar in 2018.

He currently holds the position of Counsel, specializing in international family law and private projects.

Oleksandr's main spheres of expertise include legal relations between spouses, children's issues (collection of alimony, establishing child's place of residence, establishing the procedure for parents' participation in the upbringing of children), the use of assisted reproductive technologies, etc.

One of the most important areas of Oleksandr's practice is the application of the Hague Convention of 25 October 1980 on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction and the Hague Convention of 19 October 1996 on Jurisdiction, Applicable Law, Recognition, Enforcement and Cooperation in respect of Parental Responsibility and Measures for the Protection of Children.

In addition, Mr. Gubin specializes in family law matters involving a foreign element, including matters relating to the recognition of foreign court orders in Ukraine.

An exclusive part of Oleksandr's professional expertise is a deep understanding of private international law and the ability to build a successful strategy even in the most complex cross-border disputes involving two or more jurisdictions at the same time.

However, Mr. Gubin's expertise also includes pre-trial and out-of-court settlement of various issues that may arise in a family, starting with a marriage contract and ending with an agreement between parents regarding the place of residence, maintenance, and upbringing of children.
